Valentina Matvienko in Zarubin video capture fair use
Moscow, July 16 (KCNA) ― NATO member states are slaves of the US, said chairperson of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matvienko on July 14.
"All the states that are part of [NATO] are subservient vassals that follow the line of the Washington regional party committee," she told journalist Pavel Zarubin in the TV channel "Russia-1". "They have neither their own opinion nor a word of their own."
NATO is a purely military bloc used by the US and the collective West to maintain their hegemony through intimidation to other countries, color revolution and coup d'état, she revealed.
Regarding Germany's announcement that it would deploy American long-range missiles inside the country, she emphasized that Germany had no right to deploy such missiles on its territory and this was still stipulated in the documents signed after the World War 2.
She warned that if American long-range missiles are deployed in Germany, a strong response from Russia woul follow.
